I am a sheep of the Great Shepherd. My life was changed by Christ in 1992.
Christ invited me to be a shepherd.
My wife and I lead a large flock of kids.
I am a pastor/teacher. I serve as the Adult Pastor of a large flock of Christ-followers at Carmel Baptist Church in Matthews, NC.
My greatest desire is to glorify Christ by encouraging, equipping, and mentoring shepherd leaders for this and future generations.

Hey Jeremy,
Way to go ole man. You have a lovely family and a great ministry. I shall always remember those early days we spent together back in Marshville. Of course, that was a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.
Blessings,
Doug Danner
Pastor Doug,
In many ways, that does seem like light years ago. You were a faithful mentor and friend to me- a very patient man. You modeled a balance in ministry and family that I hope I have followed. While brief, those were foundational years. Long live the memories of “Monogamous Fish” and the way that JoAnn would answer the phone. We have to connect again soon. May God continue to bless you!
Jeremy
Awww….ok so we have the pastor, the youth minister, and now I’ll have a youth chime in here about the good ol days in Marshville. Funny how things work…I’m now where Jeremy was….I guess that’s what they call full circle. I miss you both around here. I often do think back to those days of Monogamous Fish….I thought the balcony was going to collapse for sure, fruit loops up the nose, blended cheese burgers (Ive used that one). You both taught me well in my foundational years and I think about those days often and smile. Hope you both are doing well.
Hi Jeremy! Many many years ago in the small town of Monroe, my friend introduced me to a little place called “the Refuge”. We would go every Friday night and as many Saturdays as we could. It was always the highlight of my week! I made a few friends from around the town who shared d a common passion for Christ. We just really enjoyed going! I was curious if anyone still talked about the Refuge or not so I did a search and your page popped up. I just wanted to thank you for the ministry you offered there! I’m not sure what current ministries your involved in with the youth but that is the one I will forever remember you by. I was 12 years old at the time. I’m now 27. I’m married to my beautiful wife Cindy; and we have an amazing daughter, Abigail. You may not remember me specifically, that’s ok. I just wanted to take the time to thank you for your ministry that assisted me in my walk with Christ! This long journey has now brought me closer to Him than I have ever been before and I wanted to thank you for helping water the seed when I was at such a young age. I hope this finds you well.
Thank you and God bless!
